Does my draw automatically increase when I get a raise?

No, you need to fill out a new draw form if you want an increase.



Can someone else pick up my pay check?

You must authorize in writing whom you want to pick up your check.



Will I get my vacation pay if I quit?

If you give 10 days notice. (30 days for management).



How do I record my mileage on the expense sheet?

You must put your odometer readings in order to get reimbursed for mileage.



Can I get cash advances for expenses while traveling for the company?

Yes, if it is approved by your supervisor.



If I have had to pay for a meal for business purposes, can I get a reimbursement from the company right away?

You will be reimbursed on the 10th of the month. Be sure to include a receipt for the expense.



If we pay the difference, can we add our spouse to our life insurance or increase the amount.

No.



Can I claim a sick day to take my spouse to the doctor?

Yes for your spouse or dependent children



Can I repay my 401k loan and continue to contribute at the same time?

Yes.



When and how do I borrow money from my 401k and profit sharing fund?

You may borrow up to half of your vested 401k and Profit Sharing accounts. You must repay the loan by payroll deduction over 60 months or less. Contact Jacqueline Brown at 1-800-522-0255 to see if you are eligible to borrow from your fund.



When can I change my payroll draw? How often can I change it?

By the 10th of the month. Two times per year.



How much funeral leave do I get if my husband's grandmother passes away? She lives in Florida.

Two days paid funeral leave.



How is vacation pay calculated? sick pay?

You receive two weeks vacation pay after your one year anniversary. During your first two years you accrue a weeks vacation every six months. After you have been with the company for three years you earn three weeks vacation. You accrue one week every four months. No more than three weeks vacation can be taken in any calendar year. After your 90-day introductory period you are entitled to eight days sick pay per calendar year.



How and when can I add health, dental, disability insurances?

January and July for health and dental coverage. You may add long term disability at anytime, but you must complete an evidence of health form and be approved.



Whom should I tell when I change my address (or name)?

The person who handles personnel in your location.



I feel I'm being harassed -- whom do I go to? What if the harasser is my supervisor?

You may go to your general manager/publisher, the person who handles personnel or report it to Jacqueline Brown in the corporate office.



Can I get my vacation time in pay rather than use it? Our department is really busy and I can't find the time to take off from work. My accrual date is coming up and I'm going to lose my vacation and I could really use the money.

No. The company feels that employees need vacation time for rest and relaxation.



I am having a difficult time communicating with my immediate supervisor/department head. I feel she/he is being unfair. Who can I talk to? I don't want to get in trouble and lose my job.

You may go to your general manager/publisher or the person in charge of personnel. You can always speak with the corporate general manager, Pat Patterson, or the human resources manager, Jacqueline Brown.



How often do I get a statement telling me how much I have have in my retirement fund?

You can get the information in a quarterly mailing from Benefit Administration Co., or you can go to http://www.baclink.com and enter your login information, or you can call BAC at (800) 967-3709 during regular business hours and they will give you the information after verifying your identity.



Why can't my long term disability insurance premiums be taken out pretax?

Because if you ever receive disability payments, they are tax free.
