Web Updater:  Local newspaper group is seeking a team member to design, maintain and update websites for several Oregon and Washington newspapers.  Must have good grammar, communication and spelling skills.  Knowledge of Macintosh computers, html, design principles, Flash, Photoshop, Acrobat and Quark Xpress preferred.  25-30 hours per week.  This position is based in Astoria, OR. 



Capital Press, Salem, Oregon:

California Editor for the West's premier agricultural newspaper.  This position coordinates California coverage, including overseeing reporters and freelance writers and reporting on news events.  The position also represents Capital Press to the agricultural community in California.  In-depth knowledge of the California agriculture industry required. Journalism education and editor-level  journalism experience preferred. This full-time position is based in California state, preferably North of Sacramento. Wage DOE plus benefits. 


Field reporter for the Northwest's premier agricultural newspaper. This reporter represents Capital Press to the agricultural community in Eastern Washington and NE Oregon and suggests and provides stories and photos covering various agricultural and newsworthy topics. Knowledge of the agriculture industry required. Journalism education and several years journalism experience preferred. East Oregonian, Pendleton, Oregon


Mailroom manager: Oversee the packaging and distribution department of the East Oregonian in Pendleton, OR.  Supervision, computer, mechanical and problem-solving skills required.  Previous mailroom experience preferred.  Driver's license required.  Some weekend and evening hours. Full time with benefits.  Wage $2,417-$2,917 per month DOE.


General Sales Representative: You'll work to develop new readers for the newspaper through personal contact and marketing programs.  Both phone and outside sales skills needed, along with a genuine enthusiasm for our products. You'll also provide customer service back-up to our circulation team. 


Mailroom-Inserter: Full and part-time opportunity to work in our packaging and distributing department in Pendleton, OR.
